Fire was discovered in the cotton shed of the Palmer Brothers mill at Fitchville around 10am, where about 4,000 bales of cotton were storred. The fire apparatus at the mill, assisted by the steamer from Yantic, brought the blaze under control by about noon with a loss of about $15,000 which was fully covered by insurance.
